Details you won't usually find By SJ Holley There have been millions of books written about Lincoln, but I really enjoyed this one because it had quotes and stories from people who actually knew Abe. It follows his history and includes all kinds of characters who actually dealt directly with Abe throughout his life. If I were a history teacher I would require this as class material.If you like history you will love this book.

By Mary Anne I thoroughly enjoyed this book, originally written approximately 20 years after the death of A. Lincoln and revised in 1913. There were wonderful stories into the person of Lincoln from people who knew him and described beautifully his character, incredible intelligence, charm and devotion to his country.
6 of 7 people found the following review helpful. a very enjoyable read By torch helps me a appreciate a great man even more. great anecdotes about a down-to-earth, very caring man. even funny at times. carefully weighed decisions and stayed true to his nature. great book for demonstrating how a politician can rightfully carry out his duties and not try being liked by everyone, but still be respected.
