By watersdown Perhaps not the life....so much as snippets of the life of the brilliant man and very good discussions of his theories. While I enjoyed the science in this book, it was written for the layman, I wanted to know more about how Mr. Hawking managed with the physical trials that assaulted him. His ability to survive is more mental than physical and if he had not become the Einstien of his day his story would still have been worth reading. I only wished for more but realize he does not want to be defined by his illness. A brief interview with children or wife would have been more personal and of help to others in similar circumstances.
