It does a wonderful job of mixing comic-style word balloons and traditional prose in a way that is seamless and easy to read. Jason Brubaker, the author, is a very experienced professional in the comics industry, and coming off the hype of his highly successful reMIND series, Brubaker more than delivers with Sithrah.DESIGN: The artwork is absolutely gorgeous. Brubaker, used to work at Dreamworks Animation Studios, so it's no surprise that this book is crafted so beautifully. The book is a very durable hardback book with very stylistic cloth binding on the spine. The paper stock is VERY good, and every page is a work of art in itself.PLOT: The product description is an apt description. It's well written and wonderfully paced, making for a very smooth read. It's a short book, but this is just volume one! It's hard to judge a story based solely on the first volume, but I can truthfully say that this volume sets up the plot with a good, solid foundation that will leave you excited for more. It will be great to see how the story progresses in the later volumes. The best part is if you're still unsure whether you want to get this book, read some of it for yourself over at :http://sithrah.com/page/001/ The entire series is in the process of being uploaded for FREE on the sithrah.com website! Give it a try and see how you like it!

By William Beautifully bound book and no issues with the item I received.Sithrah is one of the stories that shows all that is good with comics - a combination of typography and illustration. Where no sound is made, the words demonstrate noise. Where there is no movement, pictures demonstrate motion. Where everything is frozen in place, in-between panels and across the page, time and space progress. In short, it’s great for seasoned readers but may be a little obscure for newcomers to graphic novels. This particular graphic novel is different from Brubaker’s previous graphic novel ‘ReMind’. It has a more story-like novel reading and picture book viewing, meshed in together with a graphic novel experience. Which surprisingly, didn’t break-up the flow of the story but rather got me caught up in it in a way I hadn’t experience before. My advice. Take your time reading this graphic novel. Get lost in its pages. By the time you get to the end you’ll be asking excitingly, ‘What happens next?’

The story seems like it barely gets started, but I can tell it's going to be a wonderful series. An interesting, intelligent mix of comics and prose. Very well done, a must have in my opinion.
