The scan does not contain the diagrams, but the descriptions are so clear I was able to work out the geometry w/o the charts. Well worth the time to read.

By Slick Though I am not completely finished with the book, it is a great personal perspective I've rarely read from the battlefield except for a short sentence or paragraph in a Civil War book, biography, or autobiography (written after the fact). These are real-time letters of his experiences before, during, and after a battle or waiting time. A good read of the daily life of a Confederate battlefield "medic" during battle or rest. I give it 5 stars as a real-time field surgeon's wartime experiences as opposed to just another 30 years after memoir.

About the Author Stan Sakai was born in Kyoto, Japan, grew up in Hawaii, and now lives in California with his wife, Sharon, and children, Hannah and Matthew. He received a Fine Arts degree from the University of Hawaii, and did further studies at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. His creation, Usagi Yojimbo, is the story of a samurai rabbit living in a feudal Japan populated by anthropomorphic animals. It first appeared in Albedo Comics in 1984. Since then, Usagi has been on television as a guest of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and as toys, on clothing, in comic books, and in a series of trade paperback collections. In 1991, Stan created Space Usagi, the adventures of a descendant of the original Usagi, dealing with the samurai in a futuristic setting. Stan is also an award-winning letterer for his work on Sergio Aragonés' Groo the Wanderer, the Spider-Man Sunday newspaper strips as well as Usagi Yojimbo. He is the recipient of a Parents' Choice Award, an Inkpot Award, multiple Eisner Awards, two Spanish Haxturs, an American Library Association Award, and a National Cartoonists' Society Division Award. Usagi Yojimbo Book 12: Grasscutter was used as a textbook in Japanese history classes at the University of Portland. The author lives in Los Angeles, CA.

These are amazing stores, some of the best comic stories I have ever read. Nothing else makes me feel as happy as Usagi does. This is a beautiful hardcover book. I tend to only buy collections in hardcover so the spine does not crease upon multiple readings. This book looks like it will stand the test of time. Mine came shrink wrapped and in perfect mint condition. Just like all of the hardcovers in the Usagi Saga collection, it comes signed by Stan Sakai.....an awesome bonus!

Todavía recuerdo aquellas historias reales en las que ellos renunciaron al trono por el amor que perseguían. Esta es similar. Los dos personajes están muy bien construidos. El es un caballero y procede con honor frente a su pueblo y frente a ella, pero la ama por encima de todo y su confesión es enternecedora y apasionante. Ella es una mujer sola, pero llena de dignidad y orgullo; no se resigna a vivir oculta porque espera y desea todo de una relación, así que lo exige, aun en detrimento de su misma relación. Me encana como se hace valer y como él lo entiende y la respeta. Valió la pena leerla, me gusto muchísimo.

About the Author Often called the father of science fiction, British author Herbert George (H. G.) Wells literary works are notable for being some of the first titles of the science fiction genre, and include such famed titles as The Time Machine, The War of the Worlds, The Island of Doctor Moreau, and The Invisible Man. Despite being fixedly associated with science fiction, Wells wrote extensively in other genres and on many subjects, including history, society and politics, and was heavily influenced by Darwinism. His first book, Anticipations of the Reaction of Mechanical and Scientific Progress Upon Human Life and Thought, offered predictions about what technology and society would look like in the year 2000, many of which have proven accurate. Wells went on to pen over fifty novels, numerous non-fiction books, and dozens of short stories. His legacy has had an overwhelming influence on science fiction, popular culture, and even on technological and scientific innovation. Wells died in 1946 at the age of 79.
